LOVE TOUCHES ME IN THIS WAY
"How has love been touching your life?"
i am having lunch at Cafe Gratitude in Venice, Ca. and that is the question of the day.
hmm...
the first thing that came to my mind. is More with Dara. More with Dara is a site that i set up so that people who need help with this lifestyle would have it. i provide extra videos, way personal blogs and am there to support answer questions and see what is going on in the lives of the MWDees as i call them. it is a camp of sorts where we get to share in a very raw and very real manner. the people on more with Dara are touching my life with love everyday with their enthusiasm to make their lives better through detoxifying their bodies and currently detoxifying their homes.
i have come to realize that the more love we give the more we get. the more lives we touch the more lives touch ours.
the beautiful cycle of love given AND well received is the way that love touches my life.

falling of the wagon
did you fall of the wagon over the holidays?
is it hard to get back on?
i have really good news for you.
the wagon is shallow, low to the ground.
it is a flyer red wagon and you don't get that hurt if you fall off
and it is really easy to get back on.
no crane or person needed to help you get back on. just you.
one foot in, sit down, put the other foot in and there you are.
while you are sitting in the little red wagon
start to remember. oh yeah, that green smoothie i used to make...oh yeah the delicious chocolates,
the tonics, whatever it is, just make that one true thing.
and make the decadent delicious raw food things as well.
so to make it easier to get back into your cute wagon make the things that you would crave if you weren't in it.
like chips? get flax crackers.
like dips? make my no bean hummus.
puddings? make chocolate pudding.
make sure you are satisfied before you get the cravings.
and of course add something green. one green thing a day.
i would go for my one true thing green soup.
here it is.
get good at it. put it in a mason jar. eat it first. you won't want anything else.
and then lo and behold your little red wagon is a chariot to the best life ever!

5 ways to get through the end of the year with grace and dignity
oh my it has been a while. My friend David has just made me aware that i haven't blogged in about 2 years. so. i promise in the New Year to blog frequently. i didn't realize that people would read and more importantly respond. that makes it much more exciting for me. to hear from you. it is the end of the year. it is time to rest up, rev up for 2014. here are 5 ways to take travel through this time gracefully:
1) simplify, say no, no thank you to doing too much. every delivery of gifts, every party every social nicety does not need to happen. ask yourself, "in order to simplify my life right now, what can i give up?" give up the first thing that comes to mind.
2) find time to be by yourself. if you can't say no to a family gathering or another party take a walk. take the time to break away, get a different perspective and have some moments to regroup by yourself.
3) jump up and down. yes, get the lymphatic system moving. that is the fluid that circulates through our body. this where toxins get stuck. by jumping up and down we move them and get them ready for exit . do this when you get the time to yourself or at a gathering. could be interesting ;)
4)stay hydrated to moisten the cells and flush out the toxins
5) Get your Greens on! leafy greens alkalize us, make us calmer. so much of the food we eat during the holidays causes acidity. mood wise it makes us bitter, short tempered, angry. be the person with a jar of green juice in hand, in bag, on the way to parties, in your purse out to dinner. shock, impress or disgust people, it doesn't matter. you will be the nicest and calmest person around!
bonus tip. smile and have fun. by yourself or with people and take a deep breath. 2014 is almost here!

What do people want to read in this blog?
If I were reading a blog I would want to know the persons true authentic thoughts.nthings that they might not say on YouTube. Things meant only for intelligent people who not only watch videos but read as well ;). I might like to know what they think of the raw food world, the cast of characters in it. Does my favorite raw food educator cheat ever? If so what do they eat when they cheat? What is their love life like? What makes them happy? What to do on those days you just plain old mess up? How does it really feel to be raw in a cooked world? What sacrifices need to be made? Socially especially. What on earth can raw foodists do for fun in a world so centered around food and drink? I think that I can answer most of these. Except maybe the one about the cast of characters. Not Nice to gossip after all ;).
I do find it interesting though how many of them change their tunes. Raw vegan to meat eating? Gosh that could make things so confusing.
So. Things i look for in someone I follow...are they walking their talk? When I hear them speak, does what they say ring true? Does the word authenticity come to mind? And their energy, do I like it?
So on that note with much to think about and many topics to cover in the future.ninleavenyounwithnone true thing, Get Your Greens On!

THE REAL REASON WE EAT RAW FOOD. :)
Hi Everybody, it's Dara ;)
do you know what the whole point of the raw food thing is for really?
why on earth limit your diet to plants, fruits nuts and seeds?
for LOVE, that is why.
Raw Foods cleanses us. Until we are clean our cells our clogged, our lymphatic system is clogged, our blood, our skin, our aura, the etheric realm where all true messages from the divine come in, are clogged. These messages are trying to get to our hearts. How can we "hear" them if we are clogged.
messages are sent from our heart to others and to the divine. how can we be heard if these pure and true vibrations are being muffled?
When we eat a plant based diet high in fiber, fruit not fat. We are able to cleanse it all. the body, mind and spirit. the synchronicites become apparent and serendipities tickle us regularly.
This is why we eat raw food. This is why we step away from things that will clog us and lower our vibrations. we eat this way to feel clean, clear and bright so that we may feel the love in our hearts, the hearts of others and the love from the divinity within. It becomes overwhelming and delicious, deliciously overwhelming.
So the next time we think of taking a bit of cheese, bread, pasta, whatever... consider the mantra,
"i am living a life that is clean, clear and bright." and see if the food you are considering supports that.
If not, make a different choice.
It is that easy.
